Taxi Arfon, established by Miguel Mendes in April 2014, has a rich history rooted in the taxi industry. Our journey began with the acquisition of the Hackney taxi plate in April 2014, under the esteemed 'Grandfather Rights.'

My personal connection with the world of taxis dates back to 2003 when I started driving in Bangor, North Wales. The experience was invaluable, and I owe much of my knowledge to the camaraderie and wisdom shared by my colleagues in Bangor. Unfortunately, many have moved on, but the lessons from the old boys, linger in my memory, and I sincerely miss their presence.

Reflecting on the past, I recall the scenic drives from Bangor Station up to Pen y Pass and around the National Park, a journey that spans two decades. One destination that holds a special place in my heart the Pen y Gwryd Hotel. It has always been a popular and cherished spot. Today, I take immense pride and gratitude in being recognized as one of the recommended taxi services for the Pen y Gwryd Hotel—a role I've been fulfilling for many years.
